Congratulations to Martin Stoffel for winning funding for his own position from the German Science Foundation. His project, together with Josephine Pemberton at Edinburgh University, will focus on the genomics of inbreeding depression in Soay sheep. We wish him the best of luck and much fun!
We want to thank Francisco Ceballos for visiting the lab and giving a really nice talk on runs of homozygosity. The kids also loved seeing his photos from South Africa!
A massive congratulations to Martin Stoffel for successfully defending his PhD with a Summa cum laude. We wish Martin all the very best for the next step in his career, where he will hopefully go to Edinburgh to work on Soay sheep.
