Profile
I am currently using microsatellite genotyping to explore the relationship between disease, heterozygosity, and inbreeding in Antarctic Fur Seal pups. Aside from this, I am also looking into using nutrigenomics to investigate the link between food stress and gene expression levels.
Previous Research and Other Interests
Last year I completed a project module at Indiana University looking at sex differences in hormone expression in weakly electric fish skin (Apteronotus albifrons & Apteronotus leptorhynchus). For my bachelors, I also researched sex differences in pain pathways on mice at McGill University. I love spending my freetime playing instruments, traveling, and of course, enjoying the outdoors, playing soccer, Frisbee, and going for a relaxing run.
