Birgit Fuchs

Profile

Birgit_FuchsProfound interest in mechanisms between functions of living beings and the resulting phenotypes and behaviour evoke with the work in the VHF laboratory within my bachelor degree. Besides the basis modules, I started with one project module and ended up working there with a partner for around two years in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Joseph I. Hoffman. The results of this work were the basis of my bachelor thesis.

Previous Research and Other Interests

During my bachelor’s, I realized how much genetics and the possibilities of current research methods fascinate me. Therefore, I decided to pursue this path by starting the master course ‘Genome Based Systems in Biology’ at the University Bielefeld. I am now starting my master’s thesis and I am delighted to be working in the Hoffman Lab.
